2 Stretch Bobbed 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank 1982 / 2003 XL

Gas tank with 2 stretch has a left side petcock opening and a fuel capacity of 3.5 gallons. This tank features a bolt in locking aircraft style gas cap and full rubber mount system for XL models. The back of the tank is stretched 2 and does not affect the mounts. Please test fitment before painting. Tank weld seams may require filler to meet your individual requirements. Do not grind or sand the seams as this may cause leaks. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal. This will help to stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the petcock. *NOTE: UPS may consider this part as packaged oversize for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
